About Me

"You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, ‘I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.’"
-Eleanor Roosevelt

Hello there.
I'm Julia Gray Parrish.
My hair is perpetually frizzy thanks to residing in the sweet southern state of Georgia- not as many peaches, peanuts or cotton in our immediate area as one would imagine.
I'm a notoriously awkward and weird nineteen year old college student.
who still lacks the basic abilities to make small talk and will always
use the excuse "sorry, my mom says I can't." so I can marathon Law and Order: SVU in my pajamas with my cat.

I have rheumatoid arthritis.
Heating pads and dangerous amounts of ibuprofen are my best friend.
Doctors appointments are my norm.
It's just an annoying and important part of my story now.

These are a few of my favorite things:
  • The odd members of my family.
  • My incredibly wonderful friends.
  • Baby animals.
  • Geeky things.
  • Heating pads.
  • Video games.
  • Ibuprofen.
  • Volunteering.
  • Chic-Fil-a + any spicy food.
  • Good books.
  • Writing.
  • Gas station icees.
  • Clearance sections.
  • Board games.
  • Frozen yogurt.
  • The color teal in all shades.
  • Crime shows.
  • Coca-Cola + sweet tea {I'm southern after all.}
  • Encouraging words.
  • Skulls.
  • Mythological creatures.
  • Mermaids.
  • Cats.
  • Birthday cake ice cream.
  • The inventions of Netflix and Pandora and Spotify (bless you)
  • Stupid jokes.
  • Photographs.
  • Pinterest.
  • Lists.
  • You.

This adventure that is my life certainly isn't perfect, but it's all mine and it's amazing.

Hugs + Kisses,
Julia.
